1933 Duesenberg II SJ Boattail Speedster Classic
1933 Duesenberg II SJ Boattail Speedster Classicr – 1 of Only 27 Factory Produced – WOW!
Here is one of the coolest and most unique cars we’ve had in stock in a long time. It is a 1933 Duesenberg II SJ Speedster that is entirely all original. This was a magnificently built vehicle from day one. Today most Duesenberg II’s are in museums or private collections. It is very rare one ever comes up for sale. This particular body style, the SJ Speedster was one of only 27 ever produced.
The SJ is powered by a 420 cubic inch V8 that makes 320 hp; a number unheard of for road-going cars of that time period. This particular SJ was built for H.G. Liebhardt of Denver, Colorado, who had the Convertible Sedan coachwork done by Derham on the short wheelbase chasis.
Also the most expensive car in the world, Duesenberg was the standard for luxury automobiles and sold only to the very affluent, the movers and shakers of their time , excentric millionairs , industrialists , movie stars etc.
A magnificently appointed automobile with a phenomenal presence, it wears its original paint very well and needs nothing to be enjoyed to the fullest. The Duesenberg II offers all the style and elegance of the original Duesenberg with the added reliability and ease of maintenance afforded by its more modern running gear. There is no finer re-creation of the original Duesenberg, which is why these cars are so highly coveted. This very well kept genuine Duesenberg II is made all the more desirable by its glamorous boattail speedster bodywork.
It’s a Deusy.
This car is a pristine example of the pre-war era cars. It exhibits craftsmanship that is unseen on most cars today. If anyone is looking for an extremely rare and beautiful car, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. Good luck arranging financing, though…
