The Chevrolet Impala is a full-sized car built by Chevrolet for model years 1958 to 1985, 1994 to 1996, and 2000 to 2020. The Impala was Chevrolet’s popular flagship passenger car and was among the better-selling American-made automobiles in the United States.
Chevrolet brought muscle car power to the people in the early 1960s, especially with the 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS 409. The mid-1961 introduction of the Chevrolet Impala Super Sport option package showcased another new arrival, the 409-cid V-8.
This 1961 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 is powered by the 409/360hp with 4-barrel carburetor driving through a 4-speed transmission, posi-traction and dual exhaust. This coupe is fitted with power brakes and power steering, and the engine compartment is immaculate. Engine is date-correct 409/360hp, and 4-speed is correct as well.
