These cars used the 2.2-liter inline-6 engine which was one of the last to use regular carburetors over an injection system. The single carb units produced around 100 bhp while the later cars used two Solex 32s to produce 105 bhp.
The interior features brown leather seats, complete with factory style vertical pleated inserts. The door panels are upholstered to match, while plush brown carpeting covers the floor. A full wood dash is featured and houses the factory original radio with a center speaker and heater controls.
Behind the white two-spoke steering wheel sits the instrumentation cluster, consisting of a 110-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. An analog clock resides in the upper dashboard near the radio.
We loved the lines of the car. It’s very chic, but still masculine. It has the great classic look, lines and details of the great Mercedes-Benzs, but you’re not afraid to actually use it.
It’s a Time When Cars Were Art of the Golden era.
