1976 Chevrolet Blazer Chalet

Not many of these were built–just less than 2,000. But as good as the Chevy Blazer was, the Blazer Chalet was even better. Why? ‘Cause it let you off-road and camp at the same time.

The Chalet had a Chinook-made pop-up camper body that sort of slid into the cargo hold of a 4WD Blazer and provided a snug motorhome for two.

As cozy as it was, it could also handle the toughest terrain you threw at it, so it was the perfect truck for adventurers at heart.

This 1976 Chevrolet Blazer Chalet with the Cheyenne Equipment package and is in pretty good shape. Finished in two-tone tan and bronze over tan vinyl, it’s powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case that allows it to tame the wildest of tracks.

The camper area features a kitchenette with a single-basin sink, a stove, and a refrigerator along with a dinette table and bench seats. A pair of cots attach to the pop-top superstructure for expanded sleeping options. All look ready for adventure and we imagine whoever buys this Chalet will not regret it.

The truck is equipped with Cheyenne trim and has saddle vinyl bucket seats along with color-coordinated door panels, carpets, and dash trim. Features include air conditioning and cruise control as well as an AM/FM/CB radio.

Campers are ever so popular in the U.S., but few raise so much interest as a Chevrolet Blazer Chalet. This ultimately goes down to Blazer’s go-anywhere capabilities, but also the practicality baked in by RV maker Chinook Mobilodge.
