The Pontiac Fiero Indy 500 Pace Car Edition also featured an eye-popping two-tone interior with white and grey leather upholstery, red seat inserts and red carpeting. A white leather-wrapped steering wheel and white leather-wrapped gear selector also came standard.
As the brand’s first two-seater in nearly 50-years, the first mass-produced mid-engined American car, and one of the period’s most fuel efficient cars, the Fiero featured bold aerodynamics and styling. There were three different versions offered in the first year as an alternative to the base model Fiero, the Sport, SE, and Indy Pace Car.
