1976 Ford F-250 Flatbed 4-Speed 4×4 w/Snow Plow
The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series, also known as the “dentside Ford” to enthusiasts, is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford Motor Company from the 1973 to 1979 model years. Produced by Ford in North America, Argentina, and Australia, this is the third and final generation of trucks derived from the 1965 Ford F-250 Series.
This 1976 Ford F-250 was purchased new from Perry Automobile Company of South Barre, Vermont in November 1975. Finished in white over black, the truck is powered by a 360ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Other equipment includes a yellow snow plow, 16″ wheels, locking front hubs, cab-top clearance lights, power steering, a bench seat, and a Philco push-button AM radio. This F-250 is now offered with a build sheet, a window sticker, 1975 sales paperwork, Vermont maps, and a Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in white, and the steel-framed flatbed with wood slats was constructed and fitted. Rust repair performed under current ownership is said to have included replacing the cab corners, lower door skins, inner and outer fenders, and a portion of the floor. A snow plow with lights was fitted.
The interior features a bench seat trimmed in black, with a matching black dash pad, floor liner, and door panels. A Philco push-button AM radio is mounted in the center of the dash, and Ranger identification is affixed to the glovebox door. A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 100-mph speedometer surrounded by four auxiliary gauges.
The carbureted 360ci FE V8 is topped with a blue-finished air cleaner and valve covers, which show corrosion. The hydraulic system for the plow runs off the engine and has been refurbished.
Black-painted 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 235/85 Hankook Dynapro ATM tires, and the front axle utilizes locking hubs.
