1964 Ford Falcon
The Ford Falcon is a model line of cars that was produced by Ford from the 1960 to 1970 model years. The first compact car marketed by the American Big Three automobile manufacturers (though antedated by the Rambler American), the Falcon was the third car line introduced by Ford, following the full-sized Ford and the Ford Thunderbird.
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”
This is arguably the fastest legal Falcon in the market which was proven by a 1st place in the Spa 6 hours of 2019 with consistent lap times of 2.58 minutes.
The 260ci -164bhp V8 was shared with the contemporary Ford Fairlane and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
It has a sporty interior with factory bucket seats, center console and a 2-spoke steering wheel. In front of me is a mint instrument panel. The chrome bezels sparkle, lenses are clear. It has an optional padded dash. New cloth headliner. Down on the floor is new carpet. It has optional seatbelts in front. The upholstery was replaced and the door panels look new.
Overall the car is everything a “hot rod” should be – eye catching, fast and even comfortable.
If you appreciate a car that hasn’t been molested, you will like this one.
