1963 Mercedes Benz 190SL
The Mercedes Benz 190SL was produced from 1955 and ending in 1963 with a total of 10,368 cars imported for the U.S. market. The 190SL was aimed at the American market for importer Max Hoffman. Typically, the 190SL’s were titled by the year they were sold and not the year of manufacture. This example appears by the numbers to have been assembled in 1962 but is titled as a 1963.
The recipient of an older restoration this 1963 Mercedes Benz 190SL continues to present very well from its original Fire Engine Red exterior paint with coordinating tan vinyl interior to the brilliant bright work.
The engine bay presents original except for a pair of Mikuni carburetors that replace the original Solex carburetors. This smooth running 190SL runs through the gears with ease as expected from Mercedes Benz quality.
This is a well-maintained MB with extensive records back to 1994 was bought in California. This 1963 Mercedes Benz 190SL is a great investment which can be driven and enjoyed.
