1934 Ford Roadster
Streamlined cars of the 1930s appeared to be on the cutting edge of machine age technology and symbols of modernity and speed. Automobile manufacturers discovered that modern styling attracted motorists as much as mechanical performance. In 1933, Ford redesigned its recently introduced V-8 engine car, adding curved fenders and a slanted radiator grille.
Horsepower comes from a ZZ4 Chevrolet crate engine, coming in at 350 CI and cranking out 355 HP. Polished and plated engine components are finished off with a set of finned, aluminum, Offenhauser valve covers. An upgraded cooling system includes an electric fan. Behind that crate engine is a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, offering overdrive for easy highway cruising. Opening the “suicide doors” reveals a rolled and pleated interior with brown leather. The inviting environment includes updated gauges, a cut-down Banjo steering wheel and a custom shifter. Lowrey’s Auto Restoration built this roadster with comfort in mind, and this road-ready Hot Rod is prepared for its next adventure.
Also included is a brown removable top, for when you want to drive this car and the weather isn’t so accommodating. The back window is made of glass, showing that no corners were cut with this build.
The thing that genuinely punctuates the car’s natural beauty is the set of chrome vintage wheels which shine out like a beacon to any car enthusiast lucky enough to see this car pass by. While you already know about all of the performance parts that make this car an incredible driving experience, you must admit that the interior is pretty luxurious. It’s not every day you see the interior of a hotrod sport this much attention to detail which is exactly why this car belongs with someone who will appreciate the incredible dedication and effort that went into making this dream a reality.
