1927 Ford Model T with two 4.6L 1200 hp V8 engines
Ford is an American car manufacturer that appears in every Forza title.
The Ford Motor Company is a multinational car manufacturer based in Michigan, USA that owns the Lincoln and Mercury brands to distribute upmarket products in the North American market. Outside of the United States, the Ford Motor Company also owns major subsidiaries in Europe, Australia and other regions in the world that develop their own vehicles for their respective markets.
Two engines, four blowers, and a custom-made chassis built by a madman Kiwi in Henderson, NV. Owner Gordon Tronson is not an engineer or designer. Instead he’s a telecom guy who just so happens to have grown up in New Zealand. A member of the Marineland Street Rod and Kustom Klub when in NZ, Gordon had built everything from drag bikes and choppers to hot-rods and jet boats. And simply put, he’s a master at it.
The double trouble in this car is two aluminum Ford 4.6L DOHC V8′s mounted side-by-side. Each originally had a B&M Teflon Supercharger, but Tronson later doubled-down on that and it now sports four superchargers and the combination is said to generate nearly 1,200 hp.
Also appeared on several episodes of Counting Cars, a popular series of History Channel, this unique piece of machinery is powered by two all-aluminum Ford DOHC modular 4.6L V8 engines joined by 4 Superchargers. The story behind this vehicle is as interesting as it looks. Gordon Tronson, the owner, wanted to show to the other rat rod owners that he can create something truly unique, and he came up with the idea to build a car with two engines and four superchargers. Then, he turned his brilliant idea into reality and built the Double-Trouble.
This hot rod is out there and certainly not for everyone, but the mere engineering genius that had to go into creating this fully road-capable car is astounding. And like Mike Musto says, if you think you can beat this engineering anomaly, go ahead and try but you’ll be biting off a hell of a lot to chew!
